WISTA PERU International Day of Women in the Maritime Sector

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) proclaimed the “International Day of Women in the Maritime Sector”, which was celebrated for the first time on May 18, 2022. The motto chosen by the IMO for 2023 is “Mobilizing networks for Gender equality”.
This date makes visible the contribution of women to maritime history and commemorates the valuable work of all those women who are part of our sector, promoting their participation and employment, thus seeking to strengthen actions in favor of compliance with the Sustainable Development Goal ( ODS) 5, on gender equality.
From WISTA PERU we join this important initiative and celebration in order to show all our gratitude and admiration to the leading, valuable, brave and committed women who dedicate their lives every day to carry out work related to the maritime, port, foreign trade sectors. and logistic. United we can achieve big changes!
