Global Gender Gap Report – WEF
June 30, 2023
According to the latest report by the World Economic Forum achieving global gender parity is now projected to take 131 years.
To put this timeline in perspective, it spans approximately four to five generations. The #WorldEconomicForum recently released its 17th edition of the Global Gender Gap Index, which evaluates gender equality in 146 countries. The index examines the following key areas: Economic Participation and Opportunity, Educational Attainment, Health and Survival, and Political Empowerment.
The new report delivers a stark message: the fight for global gender equality is mired in inertia, demanding urgent action from businesses worldwide. Embracing diversity and inclusion isn’t just a moral imperative; it’s a strategic necessity for sustainable success in today’s competitive landscape.
