‘She Can Sail the Seas’

WISTA Sri Lanka is pleased to serve as the endorsement partner for the program ‘She Can Sail the Seas’ launched by Centrum Marine Consultancy Pvt Ltd. in collaboration with CINEC Campus. This groundbreaking initiative marks the introduction of the first batch of 15 female seafarers, comprising 7 deck and 8 engine female cadets.

The program, aptly named ‘She Can Sail the Seas,’ symbolizes a progressive step forward in breaking gender barriers within the traditionally male-dominated maritime sector. This collaborative effort aims to provide equal opportunities and support for women pursuing careers at sea.
As one of the endorsing parties, WISTA Sri Lanka will offer mentoring and specialized training programs tailored for these female cadets.
