Seminar on Trade Routes, Conflict and Piratical Peoples

We were privileged to have Dr. Donna Brunero from the National University of Singapore regale us with tales of Singapore’s pre-1819 maritime history – trade routes, conflict, colonialism… and pirates! The commemoration of the Bicentennial has prompted us to think back 200 years, but Singapore’s maritime history is A LOT older than we think!
