Karin Orsel Named 2019 Personality Of the Year

2019 WISTA Personality of the Year Honoree Karin Orsel accepted teh award the 2019 WISTA International AGM & Conference on 30 October 2019.
Karin Orsel, CEO, MF Shipping Group and Co-Chairman, Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners, was honored as the 2019 WISTA International Personality of the Year at the 2019 WISTA International Annual General Meeting in the Cayman Islands on 30 October 2019.
Every year, the WISTA Personality of the Year award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the shipping industry, who embrace and champion diversity, inclusivity and equity, and whose passion and commitment for the industry and its people are sources of inspiration.
Orsel is extremely active in the maritime community. She currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR), Vice Chairman and Board Member of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), on the Executive Committee of INTERTANKO, on the Board of BIMCO, as a Trustee of the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN), Chairman of MFG Seafarers fund, and is Immediate Past President of WISTA International.
