Day of the Seafarer 2024

Ahead of the Day of the Seafarer on the 25 June, WISTA International would like to take this opportunity to recognize the unique contribution made by seafarers from all over the world to international seaborne trade, the world economy and civil society as a whole. We are particularly proud of the contribution made by female seafarers, which include many WISTA members from across the globe, and the vital work they carry out every day.

For 2024, the International Maritime Organization campaign will look at seafarers’ contribution to making the maritime sector a safer workplace. WISTA International encourages seafarers to share their best safety tips at sea by posting a photo of themselves in their work environment using the hashtag #SafetyTipsAtSea.
