WISTA Panama participates in Women Economic Forum Panama (WEF)
March 25, 2025
During the Women Economic Forum Panama (WEF), our President, Elvia Bustavino, proudly participated as a panelist in the discussion “Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility: Growing with Awareness,” representing WISTA Panama with distinction.
This important forum brought together influential voices from the private sector, government institutions, and technical organizations to reflect on the pivotal role each stakeholder plays in shaping a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable future for the region. The panel provided a dynamic platform to exchange insights, highlight best practices, and promote cross-sector collaboration aimed at advancing sustainability and social responsibility.
Elvia Bustavino shared valuable perspectives on how the maritime industry—particularly through the lens of gender inclusion and environmental stewardship—can contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her contributions emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, community engagement, and inclusive growth in driving long-term impact.
WISTA Panama remains committed to fostering dialogue and action around these critical themes, ensuring that women’s voices are heard and valued in conversations shaping the economic and environmental trajectory of our region.
