WISTA International EXCO Mid Year Meeting and Conference 2020, ACCRA-GHANA – Postponed

May 6, 2020 to May 8, 2020

Following the determination by the World Health Organization, on 11 March, that the outbreak of COVID-19 is a pandemic, and the several restrictions placed by governments for travelling abroad, WISTA International’s Executive Committee has decided to postpone our Mid-Term Meeting which was to be held in Ghana on 06 May 2020.

This decision was made in consultation with WISTA Ghana’s President and Board, who will also be postponing their 10th Anniversary Conference that was to be held on 07 & 08 May 2020. Taking into account the increase of cases and the uncertainty caused by this pandemic globally, the protection of our membership is of the utmost importance to us.

We have provisionally set a new date for the Mid-Term Meeting, for Week 29, but we will be informing you of further updates, as soon as we have a clearer picture of how this situation unfolds.

On behalf of the ExCo, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to WISTA Ghana for the excellent cooperation we had so far in organizing this meeting and our wish that soon we will be able to join you in Accra. Furthermore, the ExCo sends our warmest wishes to all of you, your members and families, that you stay safe and healthy.
