WISTA Venezuela joins efforts to support our beloved community of Cumanacoa

The vibrant community of Cumanacoa, nestled in the northern embrace of Venezuela, has endured a devastating blow. Recent torrential rains unleashed catastrophic floods, leaving over 8,000 homes reduced to rubble and more than 10,000 families grappling with the aftermath. The scale of destruction was immense, and the needs of the community are urgent.

In the face of this crisis, WISTA Venezuela answered the call last July. Our organization, dedicated to empowering women in the maritime industry, recognizes the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need. Through the unwavering support of our members and generous partners, we have mobilized resources to provide immediate relief and support to the affected residents of Cumanacoa.

Essential medical supplies, including life-saving medications, along with other critical necessities, have been dispatched to the region. These provisions are a lifeline for those who have lost everything in the floods and are struggling to rebuild their lives.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Rotary Club of La Trinidad for their invaluable partnership in this humanitarian endeavor.
