WISTA Spain receives the Port of Castellón Lighthouse Award.

WISTA Spain has received the Port of Castellon Lighthouse Award in the category of Equality. This first award for WISTA Spain recognizes the work carried out by WISTA promoting equality and diversity in the Shipping Industry.
The Port Castello Lighthouse Awards have traditionally been given in seven categories: Communication, Innovation, Business Development, Safety at Work, Business Initiative, Environmental Protection, and Social Commitment. For this IV edition two new categories; Equality and Culture have been introduced.
A balanced panel of judges made up of professionals as well as representatives from the Port Authority were given the responsibility of considering the various candidates. The judges have recognized the work carried out by WISTA and its achievements in promoting gender equality and diversity.
The Award ceremony took place last 12th April in the Port Authority Premises. Our President Rosana Velasco, accompanied during the event by some members of WISTA Spain, received the award from Ana Ulloa, Director of the Castellon Port Authority.
WISTA Spain wants to extend its gratitude to all their national members (102 currently!) and to the International WISTA family for making it possible. Proud of all of you!
