WISTA VENEZUELA: NEW EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE INSTALLATION CEREMONY

The new Board of Directors installation ceremony of the Venezuelan National Association of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA Venezuela) was held on  May 18, 2023. A significant day since the ceremony coincided with the celebration of the International Day of Women in the maritime field.

The Board of Directors was elected at the General Assembly of WISTA Venezuela on April 26, 2023. It was unanimously made up of renowned professionals with extensive experience in the maritime sector, as follows: Cristina Mujica, President; Inés Tovar, Vice President; and Ana Mary Ramírez, Executive Director.

The installation event occurred at the Clyde & Co office in Caracas. Founding members of WISTA Venezuela attended, as well as Members of the Iberoamerican Institute of Maritime Law and Members of the Venezuelan Law Association. The president of the latter, Dr Gustavo Omaña, took the oath of the new Board of Directors during the protocolar act.

The presence of representatives of these organizations highlights the commitment of the Members of the new team to work together for the benefit of the strengthening and growth of WISTA Venezuela and the maritime sector in compliance with the vision and mission of WISTA INTERNATIONAL.
