WISTA PERU Congratulations to DP World Callao!

Yesterday, the first electric charging station with renewable energy was inaugurated at the Muelle Sur Port Terminal, making DP World Callao the first port terminal in Latin America to have a charging station for its electric trucks. In addition, the acquisition of its recent fleet of 20 fully electric internal transport trucks was announced.
These advances will allow DP World Callao to reduce approximately 2,145 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq) emissions per year, mentioned by Sany Rodriguez Kross, Senior Director of Safety, Environment and Sustainability of DP World Callao, who also presented the decarbonization strategy of the terminal until 2030, which will involve an investment of around US$72 million.
The charging station has technology from Enel .
We congratulate DP World for leading the way in the port sector by driving such innovative and sustainable solutions. This project demonstrates their solid commitment to our country in terms of sustainability and energy transition.
