WISTA Members visit to “MV BUXWAVE”

WISTA Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Asia Marine Colombo (Private) Limited, successfully organized a vessel visit for its members, providing a unique opportunity to witness container vessel operations firsthand. This event took place on board the “MV Buuxwave,” operated by NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, at the Port of Colombo.

The visit aimed to enhance the understanding of container vessel operations among WISTA Sri Lanka members, fostering greater knowledge and involvement in the maritime industry. Participants were given an in-depth tour of the “MV Buxwave,” gaining valuable insights into its operations and the intricacies of container shipping.

WISTA Sri Lanka expressed its gratitude to Asia Marine Colombo and NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft for their commitment and support in promoting the development of women in the shipping and maritime industry in Sri Lanka. This initiative aligns with WISTA’s mission to advance the role of women in the industry through education, networking, and mentorship.
