WISTA Together With Pinnacle Alliance Training Academy Conducts Training on Public Speaking & Confidence Building
WISTA Sri Lanka concluded yet another successful skills development program for the membership in partnership with Pinnacle Alliance Academy on 19th September at Jetwing Colombo Seven. The program focused on public speaking and confidence building as WISTA believes in uplifting the skills and competencies of their members to help them grow in their respective careers. The event was conducted by Mr.Hisham Alif, Founder /MD of Pinnacle Academy and Assistant Division Director – Program Quality for Division F, District 82, Toastmasters International & the President of the University of Colombo Toastmasters Club. He was assisted by Ms.Ganga Fernando Co-Trainer at the Pinnacle Alliance Training Academy and Division Director for Division F, District 82, Toastmasters International & the Immediate Past President of the University of Colombo Toastmasters Club.
The workshop facilitated WISTA members to learn best practices in public speaking with several impromptu speeches which assisted many of them to gain confidence and develop their overall personalities to take up challenging roles in their careers. As WISTA encourages and promotes gender parity this event helped members to network and share their success stories to inspire each other. The event was also successful in getting many members to join the Colombo Toast Masters Club to pursue their interests in public speaking and to continuously develop their skills and competencies.
WISTA aims to pave the way for women to explore & develop a deep sense of understanding of the maritime and logistics industries which has a significant gender imbalance and ensure they are fully equipped with skills & competencies needed to establish to grow in their respective fields.
Over the years WISTA has been successful in carrying out many initiatives along with their Corporate Partner South Asia Gateway Terminals. These programs have been tailor made to empower women in the Industry. The Association has also been in the forefront of capturing and educating all professionals in the Industry on trending topics and technological innovations.
