Beste WISTA Dames,
De eerste twee maanden van ons jubileumjaar zitten er al bijna op, de hoogste tijd dus voor wat nieuws!
Ik hoop dat iedereen nog steeds gezond en wel is, én de kracht nog vindt om vol te houden in deze uitdagende tijden!
1. Lidgeld 2021
Bedankt aan alle dames die ondertussen hun lidgeld hebben betaald. Enkele dames kregen van mij vorige week nog een herinneringsmail. Uiteraard hoop ik ook van hen nog een bevestiging te krijgen dat ze graag lid willen blijven! Het doet me ook bijzonder veel plezier een aantal nieuwe leden te mogen verwelkomen! Tijdens het eerstvolgende event krijgen zij zeker de gelegenheid om zich kort voor te stellen.
2. Volgende activiteit – 12 maart 2021
Gezien de huidige COVID-19 situatie zal een ‘live’ activiteit er helaas nog niet inzitten. We gaan dus weer voor een digitale meeting en wel op vrijdag 12 maart van 12.00 tot 14.00. Details worden nog gepost op de website, maar dat het weer een interessante en leuke middag zal worden, dat staat al vast!
3. 10 jarig bestaan – SAVE THE DATE – vrijdag 10 december 2021
Hoewel het vandaag nog niet duidelijk is hoe de situatie er op het einde van het jaar zal uitzien, hebben we toch al een datum vastgelegd om ons 10 jarig bestaan in stijl te vieren! Noteer vrijdag 10 december al in je agenda! En zorg dat ook je partner deze avond vrijhoudt.
4. WISTA Ambassadeurs
Vanuit WISTA International is er een campagne gelanceerd voor het nomineren van WISTA Ambassadeurs. Met WISTA Belgium willen we dit initiatief graag steunen en dus gaan wij ook op zoek naar ambassadeurs.
Onderstaand een link naar een formulier waar je suggesties kunt doen.

Omdat we willen laten zien dat we jullie in deze moeilijke tijden zeker niet vergeten, willen we jullie ook een verrassing sturen. Laat ons weten op welk adres dat kan.
5. WISTA International
Onderstaand een mail die ik mocht ontvangen van WISTA International

As we discussed during the last online Round Table Discussion, the WISTA Technology and Futures committee has reset its agenda and the scope of its work. The world is changing rapidly. To follow that pace and have an open and content-driven dialogue with WISTA members and relevant maritime stakeholders on technology and its impact on the maritime sector, the chairs of the WISTA Tech & Futures committee – Amiee Cords, Sofia Furstenberg-Stott and Marjolein van Noort – will develop a rolling agenda together with the members of the committee. That agenda covers the relevant technologies from inside and outside the industry, the challenges and opportunities they offer and how to address the topics within WISTA International. We see two overall goals:
A. progress the internal knowledge-sharing and enhance dialogue on the transformational change about to happen in shipping, through engaging committee members in story-telling and blogging about their own experiences in innovation work and navigating the technology- and regulatory field;
B. Use WISTA’s expertise to communicate and engage in external fora on the topic, including being present at the IMO relevant committees and taking speaking assignments on behalf of WISTA at relevant conferences.
To come to such an agenda and serve these goals the chairs would like to open a second round of applications for the membership of the committee. With the changing role of the committee the chairs feel the need to extend the committee with members with specific knowledge.
May we ask you to set up a search in your national network for women who:
· Are involved in the field of innovation either in their profession or via advisory roles and
· Are able to link various technology trends and developments to the maritime sector and develop an overarching vision
· Bring a network in R&D, international politics, finance, legal, maritime logistics and/ or manufacturing processes
We would like to receive a short story on why the candidate would like to join the committee and what focus areas the candidate sees for the coming years.

Ik zou het heel fijn een Belgische dame in dit Comité te hebben. Wie zich aangesproken voelt, mag me een seintje geven.
Graag een korte motivering, waarom je zou willen aansluiten en wat je concreet voor dit comité kan betekenen.
Mocht je verder nog vragen of suggesties hebben laat het me dan zeker weten!
