Port Operations Manager

We are looking for a Port Operations Manager in the South East of the Unitated States
Responsible for execution of four terminal operations, to ensure a reliableand cost-efficient port stay through effective marine planning and cargo management.
Drive results and key improvements in the hubs in collaboration with key stakeholders (internal and external).
Acts and executes as a senior Maersk Business representative onsite on operational matters and engages with key stakeholders (internal) in creating visibility around performance and capabilities.
Execution responsibility
•Oversee and coordinate through teams, all planning-related activities to ensure optimal asset utilization (terminals/vessel port stay).
•Oversee and execute the planning of marine berth planning along with coordination with other teams around cargo flow optimization for the nominated port complex.
•Ensure port complex processes, procedures, and memos are kept updated.•Support the onsite lead in coordinating incident management/recovery involving vessels and/or cargo.
•Responsible for bunker delivery in close alignment with third-party agents and MOT.
•Overall responsible for behavioural costs (Overtime /Standby/ Shifting’s / Detention / etc.) and portexpenses.
•Drive structural improvements and share /adopt best practices.
•Responsible for game plan performance (submission/accuracy).
Engagement Responsibility
•Drive performance management (daily / weekly/ monthly /quarterly) and adopt an operating system with terminals/suppliers/ agents as per agreed cadence in driving top quartile performance.
•Engage with internal execution teams (marine/capacity /cargo) to drive systemic and structural improvements in reducing waste and costs.
•Engage with local authorities and associations as Maersk representative to understand market developments /lead and deploy industry practices.
•Drive ship-shore engagement with the fleeting improving overall operations, and execution of a safe operations
•Engage with AMREXE team in executing are liable game plan.
Preferred Experience
•3-5 years of working experience in the shipping or transportation & logistics industry
•Similar position in relevant industry (shipping /terminals)
