Job description

Full time claim team leader position available immediately. The ideal candidate will
be a mid-career professional with a balance of technical industry knowledge and
people management experience. Must be comfortable working and leading in a
remote environment. an energetic self-starter, familiar with the work from home
environment.

The qualified candidate will primarily lead, manage and hold team members
accountable for individual and team performance. This includes:

• Learning, leveraging and developing team member strengths & skill sets versus
  assigned work
• Proactively monitoring and correcting performance issues via reviews and audits
  based on standardized metrics
• Embracing and applying the tenets of management training programs and
  corporate operating systems
• Contributing to the development and refinement of process, procedure,
  reporting, data management and/or workflow automation when requested
• Assign incoming workflow within the claim team based on client relationships
  and direct report skill sets; lead regularly scheduled staff meetings to mentor staff
  and resolve issues; monitor quality control by way of file audits and review of
  individual files upon file completion; act as mentor and guide staff toward
  expanding knowledge and capabilities; monitor productivity level to accomplish
  established production goals; maintain client relationships and attend local trade
  events, maintain a partial caseload of high profile claim files.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of marine claims management experience, inland marine or
property claims management with some marine experience,

Strong interpersonal and team building skills,

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

Excellent written and oral communication skills,

Competency with Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience with Oracle
Netsuite or other enterprise software platform is preferred.

In-home high-speed Internet connection is required for remote work.
