Job description
Full time claim adjuster position available immediately. This is an excellent
opportunity for an experienced marine claims adjuster, or experienced property
claims adjuster interested in expanding their skill set in the marine insurance
sector. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter, working independently
and demonstrating willingness to engage within an interdisciplinary small team
structure.
The candidate will administer cargo claims, from initial loss notification to final
claim presentation to the client for settlement. Responsibilities will include
management of field surveyor/investigator resources; regular communication with
clients, claimants, and third parties; interpretation of data and proactively making
recommendations to mitigate losses; negotiation of suggested final settlements;
and presentation of our final product (Survey Report) to the client.
Candidates must possess the organizational and technology skills to work in an
entirely remote capacity, including the routine use of cloud based project
management, file storage and transfer, and videoconferencing applications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of claims handling experience,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good understanding of international logistics and transportation is a plus,
- Strong computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications,
- In-home high-speed Internet connection,
Mandarin language skills a plus!
