WISTA USA Metro Chapter – Kayaking and Conversation

WISTA DC Metro is hosting a networking and kayaking event at Belle Haven Marina, located just south of historic Old Town Alexandria, https://www.saildc.com/.  We intend to kayak for roughly two hours along the Potomac, followed by light post-exercise refreshments and conversation in the adjoining park.

Once we have confirmed attendance, we will reserve a group of kayaks.  The group will then meet by the rental office/trailer at Belle Haven Marina to pay individually for the kayaks, which will be $30.00 each for two hours.  To get everyone processed and waivers signed (https://app.cleverwaiver.com/render/templateByRefId/6075cb3b4cc416a51d3747f2), please try and be at the Marina no later than 11:45.  Once we get back, Sarah and I will have snacks and drinks on ice in our cars that we can set up in the adjoining park.

Because we hopefully will need a number of kayaks, we will need to confirm with the Marina a week in advance.  Please also remember to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a camp chair for after.  We are of course hoping for great weather.  If the weather is not hospitable to a day on the river, we will readjust.
