Helping women in maritime to deliver with impact, presented by Norton Rose Fulbright
We are delighted to invite you to participate in two online training sessions delivered by the Norton Rose Fulbright Women in Martime network designed to help women working in the maritime sector present confidently, and make an impact.
Recently, we launched the Maritime Speakers Bureau platform, which aims to encourage women to register as potential participants and presenters at conferences, ending the tradition of all-male speaking panels. We hope that sessions such as these will provide women in the sector with the skills and confidence they need to present with confidence.
The online sessions delivered by Norton Rose Fulbright are outlined below, they are designed as complementary sessions, but can be done in isolation.
Presentation skills for beginners, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 | 13:00 – 14:00 BST
Face your presentation fears by experiencing a practical session that will focus on the delivery aspect of a presentation, rather than the design. In this session we will introduce you to the basics that make for a well-delivered presentation and share tips on how to manage your nerves when presenting.
Presenting with impact, Wednesday, May 24, 2023 | 13:00 – 14:00 BST
Presenters have the ability to inform, persuade, inspire and entertain. Everyone can learn how to plan and structure presentations and use techniques which can help them present well. We will help you understand how to create the right impact, engage your audience and appear confident. This session will provide tips to achieve great presentation results, whether in-person or using a virtual platform.
